Abandoned. Owing to failure of TR and loop WT set position was uncertain. Bombs were jettisoned in North Sea. Tried unsuccessfully to obtain from base from 1042 to 0310 hours. Eventually obtained QDM after crossing coast when extremely near base. Fired at by own defences in the Yarmouth area.
