Flares and bombs jettisoned near Rheins on being attacked by fighter. The first burst wounded the air bomber and ignited the flare floats and internal flares causing the mid upper gunner to be burnt. WOp and gunners put out the considerable fires in spite of lack of oxygen and fire proof gloves.
