Pilot took off knowing intercomm in front turret was u/s. However it was found that DR and P4 compasses were about 15 degress out on South and West heading, and then mid upper turret failed. 630 x 4lb incendiaries were jettisoned to lighten the load, but rest of bombs brought back.
